Fancy something different this afternoon? I Relate to the Sparrow, starring Margaret Cabourn-Smith, directed by Lotte Wakeham, features bird songs – songs about birds that is, not by them, at Cecil Sharp House today (Monday 8 August) at 4pm.

I Relate to the Sparrow is also on tomorrow at lunchtime, 1pm. But if you can’t escape work during the day, she is also performing on Wednesday and Thursday at 7.45pm.

Birds in the park, birds on the beach, even one bird hiding in the cupboard on a mug.

Whether you’re a birding boffin or a beaky beginner, there’s something for everyone in this humorous new song cycle by Susannah Pearse (John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme, BBC Radio 4). Featuring Sally Stares and Nick Allen on cellos.

Margaret has appeared on Miranda, Katy Brand’s Big Ass Show, Lab Rats, A Very British Cult and Evermore. For a few clips click here https://youtu.be/lgDiYBJCBUk
